This page explains how customers should inspect and care for decorative habitat accessories before placing them in a small-pet enclosure.

Material direction

Product pages describe the material direction available for each item, such as resin-look decor, ceramic-style hides, faux bark, faux stone, or other decorative materials. Material wording is intended to help customers understand the product type, not to make universal safety claims.

Before use

• Inspect entrances, edges, horns, teeth, seams, and decorative details.
• Check for loose pieces, strong odor, flaking finish, sharp points, or unstable placement.
• Wash or wipe the item as appropriate for the product material and let it dry fully before use.
• Make sure the item can be removed for cleaning and inspection.

Fit and placement

Compare dimensions, opening shape, footprint, and enclosure layout before use. Do not force an item into a setup where it blocks normal movement, feeding access, cleaning routes, ventilation, heating, or lighting equipment.
